Megan HeddingerMegan started her own lifestyle stationery collection in San Luis Obispo. As an alumni, she often visits campus to inspire and mentor current GRC students.
I first met Megan about nine years ago as an incoming freshman at Cal Poly and am privileged to have been by her side every step of the way since— and there have been some steps. From being captain of the Cal Poly Women's Soccer team to traveling halfway across the world to teach English, and then returning only to move across the country after landing her dream job at Free People, to leaving that dream job to start her own dream, Wilde House Paper, a lifestyle stationery collection, Megan has always been driven to follow her heart. She has the uncanny ability to feel creative trends and then turn those trends into her own, distinctive creative work, whether the medium is stationery or graphic design projects for her numerous clients.
The thing that stands out through it all has been Megan's love. Her love for creativity and intention in all that she does makes her unique in the creative world. But what really makes Megan special is her love for others and willingness to help the next person in anyway she can. I wanted to start this by saying, "It's funny how our lives have a way of coming full circle," with Wilde House recently relocating to San Luis Obispo, but that makes it seem like the journey is coming to an end when it is really just beginning. I have no doubt that Megan will continue to inspire others to follow their passions and create the life that they want to live. I'm blessed to have a life partner that inspires me everyday.
