Adele RosenthalAdele represented the U.S. in competitive jump roping before coming to Cal Poly to pursue law. She is now extremely involved with the criminal justice system in San Luis Obispo.
Adele Rosenthal embodies the word "enthusiasm." As a competitive jump-roper for 13 years, she represented the United States at two World Championships and won multiple titles, all with a smile on her face.
At Cal Poly, Adele has channeled this intensity into studying political science and psychology while examining the criminal justice system. As an Honors student, Adele studied international justice and human rights in Copenhagen and took Cal Poly’s Incarceration and Society class. Beyond the classroom, Adele interned at Restorative Partners, helping the incarcerated reclaim responsibility and dignity. Adele has gained legal experience through her work in the District Attorney's office, offering support and services to victims of crime throughout their court cases. She dedicated her senior project to analyzing these experiences, including hosting the San Luis Obispo District Attorney on campus. Through her positive attitude, Adele has consistently transformed challenging situations into growth opportunities. Beyond her accolades, Adele is an incredible person and friend. No matter how busy she is, she always makes time to listen to and celebrate her friends and family (and her beloved dogs). Adele’s boundless enthusiasm for learning and enacting justice will enable her to carry her success from Cal Poly into law school and beyond. Written by: Meredith Soward, best friend |
