Arielle CohenArielle is the current manager of Cal Poly's CubeSat Laboratory which made national news when it sent a CubeSat to Mars with NASA this year.
Arielle Cohen is the ultimate powersource that keeps the Cal Poly CubeSat Laboratory running (well, besides electricity). She was born to be an engineer and never questioned that path, having an innate passion for science and problem solving. Through her college career and her role as Lab Manager, she soared over everyone’s expectations in terms of engineering, personal accomplishments and friendship.
Though she never expected herself to be a leader, the role of manager fit her like a glove. She oversaw every project and task like it was her own, and understood the importance of balancing the practice of building satellites and the practice of relaxation. Though times may be overwhelming in lab, she knew how to keep spirits high, and not just by bringing in donuts for everyone, but by bringing her own light into lab and continuing to brighten the lives of people she meets and works with. Arielle has the best of intentions and the most motivating spirit of anyone I have met. Not only has her actions in the Cal Poly CubeSat Laboratory made nano-satellite history, but her kind, supporting demeanor has made history in many people’s lives.
