Jess HusbandJess works tirelessly to further PULSE's mission of mental health education on campus. Within PULSE, she started the Mental Health Dialogue Group this year.
Two years ago, I was a subleaser in an apartment where Jess happened to be living. At the time, I believed she was an ordinary college student I would be living with for a few months. Fast-forward to today, and Jessica Husband is the most extraordinary woman I have ever had the honor of knowing. She is deeply passionate about mental health and has dedicated her time at Cal Poly to working at PULSE. While her knowledge for all things psychology is impressive, it’s her heart that will help her go above and beyond in her career. Jess has love in her bones and is caring down to her core. Her capacity to give love to others is inspirational and unparalleled.
Although there’s an extensive list of the amazing qualities that encompass Jess, one that stands out is her resilience. No matter what life throws at her, Jess handles it with strength, dignity and a fierceness that I will always admire. She is undeniably herself and the epitome of a strong woman. To be friends with her is pure magic, and I couldn’t be prouder to have watched her transform into the confident and exceptional woman she is today. Written by: Megan Knudsen, best friend |
